About Me
Hello, I am Matthew Loberg. I am a senior in high school with a love for technlogy, the Internet, blogging, music, photography, and film.
I got started in tech a while back through web development. The Internet amazed me and I wanted to learn how to make a web site. So I did some research and bought Microsoft FrontPage. The best way I learn is by doing it. So I would mess with the code and see what it did. I also learned Flash, but since then have forgot most of it. Now I code everything by hand. I am trying to learn JavaScript, jQuery (this site was the first encounter with it), PHP, and Ruby on Rails. I am not really a graphic designer, but I am trying to learn more about it (I think I did a pretty good job with this site).
I am also gifted with computers. I have no problems with them and can fix them pretty easily. I built my first machine in 7th grade and have built too many to count now. I even have built some laptops.
My preffed OS is Mac OSX followed closely by Linux. I love Apple because they have great software for things I do. I also love Linux because it is Open Source and I love Open Source.
I also love music. My favorite genres are Death Metal, Ska, and some Electronica. Along with listening to music, I also play bass and a little guitar, but my favorite thing is producing music. I love running live sound systems and recording stuff.

Web Design Portfolio
First thing I have to say is that I am not really a designer. I am working on those skills, but it's not something I am gifted at.
I know (X)HTML and CSS very well and know the basics of JavaScript and PHP. I am learning those languages plus jQuery (which I first used on this site) and Ruby on Rails.
I know web hosting and MySQL very well. I consider myself to be a master at WordPress, Joomla, SilverStripe, and Gallery.

Photography
Photography is something that I have been doing as long as I can remember, but then again, who hasn't. It was only until recently that I really got into photography. Last fall I got the opportunity to be the photographer at a Christian camp, Camp Lebanon. I really liked it and after I was done, I bought a Canon 30D. A month later I bought a Nikon D5000. This summer I am the summer photographer at Camp Lebanon, and I am really excited about it.

Film Making
I got started in making videos about a year and a half ago. One of my friends and I borrowed a old camcorder and shots three short films. We gave ourselves the name "Backyard Studio" and it has stuck.
Then a year ago, I got the opportunity to make a video for a BAY Rally. Now I am doing tons of videos for the BAY Rallies. I am also working on three feature length scripts. One of which will be starting production next month.
